FS 467 - Genetics in Forensic Science

Topics in genetics will be integrated with relevant issues in forensic investigation, including historical forensic serological tests, DNA analyses, and microbial forensics. The history and principles of genetic polymorphisms, such as blood grouping, polymorphic proteins, and DNA, will be covered. Using real-world examples and case studies, special emphasis will be given to the area of DNA analysis, basic interpretation, and related issues in population genetics.
