BS 308 - Human Parasitology Survey of the geographic distribution, incidence, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, control, and immunology of important parasitic diseases in humans. Emphasis is placed on relationship of culture and social customs to the life cycles of the parasites. Class discussions and presentations will focus on ethical implications of diagnoses, as well as related Western interventions in developing countries.
